📠📺☎️👩🏻🏫 BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨🚨. Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview. CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING. And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz’s spokesperson. 🎙— Selma Blair (@SelmaBlair) March 12, 2018
In the interview, Selma recalled a conversation she had with Cameron about "The Sweetest Thing", a 2002 film in which they starred together. She said, "I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like 'I'm done.' " She added, "I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life, I don't know what it would take to bring her back. She's happy."
A source additionally told Daily Star Sunday, "Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she's just not interested. She's happy, in love and wants to make the most of her freedom and free time."
Cameron has starred in more than 40 films during her career that has spanned 20 years. In the 12 months leading up to June 2008, she had earned approximately $50 million from her roles in "There's Something About Mary", "Charlie's Angels" and "Shrek". With that number, she has become one of the world's most successful actresses.
Earlier this year, a source said that Cameron dreamed of having a baby with Good Charlotte's guitarist Benji Madden, 38, whom she married on January 5, 2015. It was also said that the A-lister wanted to be home and be stay-at-home wife to the musician.
Last August, the actress turned 45. She received a sweet message from her husband on his Instagram account. He posted a photo of them enjoying a romantic boat ride and captioned it, "Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Wife. I feel like I am the LUCKIEST guy ALIVE."
The actress, whose last movie was 2014's "Annie", recently wrote a book entitled "The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body". The book is about how to feel and look one's best self. Following the book published in 2013, she published another book entitled "The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time" in 2016.
