Chevy has once again rolled out a collection of pickup truck concepts at the SEMA show in Las Vegas to test the waters with new ideas.

For surfers everywhere, Chevy rolled out the Colorado Z71 Hurley Concept, calling it a “mobile beach command center.” A custom surfboard rack is attached to the truck of course along with water-resistant seat covers made from ventiprene, a material that is meant to breathe when it gets wet. The truck also gets 17-inch wheels, a slight lift, off-road lights, assist steps and a Khaki green and sand-dune colored paint finish.

Moving on to larger half-tons, the Silverado High Desert truck takes the Silverado High Country and adds a new lockable storage system to the bed along with a cargo divider and a tonnaeu cover. The truck is also fitted with magnetic ride suspension and 20-inch wheels, while 22-inch wheels are available. To set it apart visually, the truck gets an illuminated black bowtie, anodized bronze wheels, a bronze grille insert and a painted engine cover.

Chevy also showed its heavy duty truck some love with the new Carhartt concept, which was put together in conjunction with the work-focused clothing brand. Carhartt’s duck brown signature color is found throughout the interior of the truck along with on some exterior accents. The logo is also laser-etched in the headrests while antique nickel trim is used on the doors.

Finally, the brand showed the Silverado 2500HD Alaskan Edition, equipped with a stainless steel snowplow, silver-accented blue exterior, grizzly bear graphics, chrome bumpers and grille, 20-inch wheels and a leveling kit. Inside, the floor is made from rubber to help deal with snow and slush. The Alaskan Edition is already available on the 2017 Silverado HD work truck and includes the snowplow prep package, 18-inch wheels, a spray-on bedliner, smoked amber roof lights and distinctive graphics.

Each year, Chevy brings new concept trucks to SEMA to gauge reaction from the public. If there is enough interest, these trucks will see production, so if you like what you see leave a comment and let Chevy know.
